| 茫崖镇 位于中国青海省北部。有汉、藏、蒙古族等。1956年设茫崖工作委员会 (县级行政区)，1964 年改设茫崖镇。直辖于海西蒙古族藏族自治州 。地处柴达木盆地最西缘 ， 海拔3188米。属高原大陆性气候，年均温度0～2℃，年降水量50毫米以下，气候极端干燥，水资源贫乏。自然条件恶劣。矿产资源主要有石棉、锌、盐、石膏等，尤其盛产石棉，是中国重要的石棉生产基地。是青海省新兴的工矿镇，有石棉厂等工业。有公路通冷湖镇、茶卡、敦煌、格尔木市。 |
