将石英砂、碳酸钠和煤粉混合，放在反射炉内，在1100～1350℃下反应，可制得硅酸钠，产物为玻璃体，因含铁等杂质而变成灰绿色，用水蒸气处理后，得粘稠液体，俗称水玻璃或泡化碱。水玻璃建筑业、造纸业中用作胶粘剂，木材、纺织品、鸡蛋用水玻璃浸泡后可防腐，水玻璃还是商品肥料和洗涤剂的填料。 |
