硝酸钙化学式Ca(NO3)2，分子量164.09。无色立方晶体，密度2.504g/cm3，熔点561℃，在空气中潮解，易溶于水。可形成一水合物和四水合物。其中Ca(NO3)2·4H2O，分子量236.15，无色晶体，易潮解，溶于甲醇和丙酮。
其中α-式，密度为1.896g/cm3，熔点42.7℃；β-式，密度为1.82g/cm3，熔点39.7℃，于132℃分解，一水物是颗粒状物质，熔点约560℃。硝酸钙灼热时分解生成亚硝酸钙并放出氧气。有强氧化性，跟硫、磷、有机物等摩擦、撞击能引起燃烧或爆炸。用作分析试剂、制造烟火、炸药、电子管、火柴等，农业上可用做氮肥。用硝酸跟氢氧化钙或碳酸钙反应可制得本品。
