性质:以硝酸为硝化剂与芳香族化合物作用置换其环上氢原子使之生成芳香族硝基化合物的过程。依照所用硝酸浓度的高低,硝酸硝化可分成浓硝酸硝化和稀硝酸硝化,这两种方法所应用的对象不同,前者主要用于芳烃化合物的硝化,后者一般仅用于活泼芳香族化合物的硝化。
