形态特征:
灌木,高2—3米。小枝密生细柔毛。叶薄革质,椭圆形或倒卵状长圆形,长1.5—5厘米,宽0.8—1.5厘米,无毛,顶端钝,基部楔形;叶柄有短柔毛。圆锥花序长7—22厘米,有细柔毛;花白色,芳香,无柄;花冠筒和裂片等长,花药略伸出花冠外。核果宽椭圆形,黑色,长8—9毫米。花期7—8月,果期10-11月。

分布与习性:
产中国华北地区及长江流域各省,喜光,稍耐阴;喜温暖湿润气候,较耐寒;对二氧化硫、氯气、氯化氢、二氧化碳等有害气体抗性均强。对土壤要求不严,性强健,萌枝力强,耐修剪。
