可逆性atp酶，能在外能驱动下逆浓差转运h+。线粒体内膜呼吸链中有三个酶复合体具有质子泵功能，能将h+由内腔转运到外腔，它们是：细胞色素c氧化酶、辅酶qh2-细胞色素c还原酶、nadh-辅酶q还原酶。细菌的的质膜上普遍有质子泵，有的伴有呼吸链组分。嗜盐菌膜上的菌紫质（bacteriorhodopsin）受光照驱动，可将h+运入菌体内浓集。
