该车为1985年9月公布时的名称，原先叫做ytz 3300dkx。该车采用许多daf公司现有零部件，由1台daf 265kw(360马力)的柴油机驱动。车辆采用了带有变矩器、16速变速箱和分动箱的zf传动装置，与拖车组合总重达90t。样车与1辆最大有效负载为55t的daf yts10050型坦克运输半拖车相配合。
已设计的daf ytz 3600 dkz车辆起“功能”样车作用，很容易修改，以适合用户需要。
