伊河发源于熊耳山南麓的栾川县,流经嵩县、伊川,穿伊阙而入洛阳,东北至偃师注入洛水。全长368公里,流域面积6100多平方公里。
魏黄初四年(223年)
据《晋书·五行志》载:“魏文帝黄初四年六月,大雨霖,伊、洛溢,至津阳城门(古洛阳城),漂数干家。”又据《水经注·伊水》载:洛阳伊阙左壁上石刻铭文:“黄初四年六月二十四日,辛巳,大出水,举高四丈五尺(约合10.9米),齐此已下。”经黄河水利委员会多次调查测量,推算这年伊河的洪水流量达20000立方米每秒。
