The structure, paving techniques and the future of some type of polyurethane plastic playgrounds, such as the coiled plastic course with surface embossing, the plastic course with granular surface which sprayed by mixture of rubber pellet and polyurethane prepolymer, low cost two layer plastic course, and special paving material were introduced.

By the improvement of grinding process of the component A of two component polyurethane paving materials, the production cycle is shortened, and the energy consume is reduced.

A low cost polyurethane paving materials were produced by studying compositions and ratio of polyurethane elastomer admixture.

Based on the property and suitability of pavement materials, pavement materials selected properly is one of most important steps in the design of pavement.

Next,three aspects were considered as key technology and research challenges of bascule bridge deck surfacing here,(i)development on light paving material and research on thin deck surfacing system,(ii)numerical simulation of the mechanical properties of bascule bridge deck surfacing based on long cantilever structure and contact behaviors between interfaces,(iii)bonding layer material testing.
