Presents reasons for technical revamp,revamping measures,operating results and economic benefits from the revamp of CO2 removal system of Sichuan Tianhua ammonia plant.

CO2 content of gas exhausted from absorber of original CO2 removal system is over the standard value,for which reason the production of overall system is affected,so that the CO2 removal system is reformed.

After the revamping of carbon removal system of ammonia plant, zero discharge of reflux is realized, and the problem of reflux discharging is solved.

This article presents the successful application of a self-developed rich liquor cooling process in place of Benfield process in CO 2 removal system of Chitianhua Ammonia Plant, it also discusses the overflow in this system and gives ways to handle it as well as plans to improve it.

To counter the problems present in the CO 2 removal with PC method in the little scale ammonia synthesis plant at present, the effect of CO 2 removal plant with carbonic propenyl ester method on the different factors of normal production has been analysed in detail.
