性质:含有重铬酸离子Cr2O72-的盐类。碱金属和铵的重铬酸盐是橙红色。溶于水。有强氧化作用。在溶液中使成碱性时,转变为铬酸盐,颜色由橙红色变为黄色(铬酸盐在酸溶液中相反)。重格酸银(silver bichromate;silver dichromate)Ag2Cr2O7是深红色。不溶于水。最重要的是重铬酸钾和重铬酸钠,工业上称做红矾。主要用作氧化剂。并用于火柴、制革、颜料等工业。可由铬铁矿制备。
