Treatment of the polymer-supported α-phenylseleno ketones and esters prepared from polymer-supported selenium bromide with ketone and ester enolates with hydrogen peroxide afford α,β-unsaturated ketones and esters in good yields and high purities (>95%) without further purification.

Treatment of a suspension of polymer-supported selenium bromide and olefin with carboxylate or alcohol in CH2Cl2 at room temperature produces the corresponding selenide resin, which upon oxidation-elimination with hydrogen peroxide, afford allylic esters and ethers in good yields (75%～85%) and purities (88%～93%) without further purification.
