位于德清县西部莫干山南麓的莫干山脚下。莫干湖，也称对河口水库，系大型人口湖泊，于一九六三年六月建成。莫干湖，湖区水域面积5346亩，坝高58米，坝顶长293米，坝顶宽7.5米，常年平均水位40.35米，最大蓄水量1.16亿立方米。莫干湖以防洪为主，集灌溉、发电、饮用水源、养鱼等综合运用的大型水库。库区山水相映，碧水蓝天，风景秀丽，又有“浙江北湖”之称。莫干湖四周群山环抱，岸线曲折多姿，修竹苍翠，树木葱郁，碧波荡漾，自然景观秀丽瑰奇。湖畔有花果山，每到春夏季节，百化争艳、彩蝶飞舞，煞是好看；还有天鹅、野鸭、杜鹃、画眉、竹鸡、八哥、猫头鹰、啄木鸟、黄莺、相思鸟、山雀、白头翁等在山林湖面戏耍、取食；林中还有穿山甲、黄鼠狼、野兔、松鼠、黄麂、野猪等动没其间，一派原野气氛。置身其境，乐趣无穷。湖边有莫干湖山庄（二星级饭店），集旅游、休闲度假、会议、康体等一体，可为游客提供各种周到服务，站在莫干湖山庄楼顶可俯视整个莫干湖秀丽风光，是游客游览、度假、休闲的绝佳去处。
