The effects of rotor speed, draft ratio and twist factor on the properties of elastic rotor-spun yarns were investigated, and the technology optimizing was done through the orthogonal test.

By changing draft ratio and linear density of spandex, different kinds of cotton/spandex composite yarns were produced on a modified rotor spinning frame and their surface appearance and properties were tested and analyzed at the same time.

Acccording to the testing result, we found that the preheating temperature and pre-draw ratio are two most important factors which influenced the different dyeing effect of the filament.
