我们知道，海洋哺乳动物和人一样，也是用肺呼吸的。一般而言，人的屏吸时间只有1—2分钟，潜水深度不超过20米。即使是经过专门训练的潜水员，在潜水前呼吸数分钟纯氧，再挂上20多千克的重物，也只能潜到70多米的深度，与抹香鲸相比真是“小巫见大巫”了！
