| 荆州古城 中国文化古城，历代军事重镇。又称江陵城。位于湖北荆沙市。春秋时为楚国官船港口。楚成王时建清宫。秦以后成为历代封王置府之地，秦时改为江陵县。传说三国时关羽在此筑土城。从南宋时建砖城。元初拆除，后又修。现存的城墙是清顺治三年（1646）依旧基而建。城墙高9米，厚约10米，周长9.3千米。东西长，南北短，呈多边形。城墙、城门、城垛均保存完好。六座城门上原来均建有城楼，但大多废圮或改观，现仅存有清道光十八年（1838）重修的景龙楼，仍然保存原有古制，重檐歇山式顶，巍峨壮观。城内还有元妙观、开元观、太晖观等古建筑。附近有纪南城、郢城、万城等古迹。 |
