The natural runoff flow data is adopted to calculate the frequency of wetness-dryness encountering between water source region and receiving water region in the middle route of the south-to-north water transfer project,in the meantime,those among water source region,receiving water region and Yellow River are computed.

With the methods of documentary review and SWOT analysis,the paper studies the advantages and disadvantages and the opportunities challenges which water source region of the medium route project of water transfer from south to north ecotourism faces.

The research also provides scientific basis for sustainable utilization of land resources in the water source region of south-to-north water diversion of middle line.
