Aim The study on the genetic types of abnormal weathering of deep-seated coal-series strata in Weibei Permo-Carboniferous(C-P) coalfield of Shaanxi Province is of great practical significance to guide the effective production of coal mines.

Observing the appearance of geological structure of fold break and joint etc resulted from the crustal stress, analyzing the characters of the joint relationship between the coal bearing seams, this paper discussed the formation mechanism of karst collapse column and gave a new theortlical basis for analyzing measuring the karst collapse column and putting it under control in a comperhensive way.

Based on combination features of laterolog-3 resistivity,gamma-ray,sonic traces on coal seam,limestone,sandstone,mudstone,fine-grained sandstone,carried out rock and coal seam correlation.
