    (蜀黍)  
    形态特征: 禾本科蜀黍属一年生高大草本植物。秆高3-4米。叶片长披针形,宽约4厘米。花序圆锥形,长达30厘米,圆锥花序1-5节生于枝端,总状花序中生有数个小穗在花序各节或顶端,无柄小穗成熟,有柄小穗不孕。
    生境分布:全球温暖地区广泛种植。我国多在东北、华北地区及西部地区种植。 
    用途:是我国北方主要粮食作物。还可提取淀粉、酿酒、制糖。秆可编席、筐等。叶和秆嫩时可作饲料。
