甘孜镇
甘孜县甘孜镇地处横断山脉东北边缘，是丘原向山原的过渡地带，属青藏高原东南缘的一部分，北有巴颜喀拉山，东有果拉狼山，沙鲁里山屹立西南，形成一个大大的“川”字。是四川省甘孜州北路的经贸中心和商品集散地，在川藏北线上具有重要的战略位置，是稳藏安康的重要阵地。
中国工农红军二、四方面1936年在甘孜胜利会师，和平解放后，1950年正式建立中共甘孜县工作委员会，1951年成立甘孜镇，甘孜县享有“歌舞海洋”之美誉，多元文化并存，民间艺术丰富多彩，是茶马古道上的重要驿站。
甘孜县处于全州“南北两条旅游线”的北线腹心地带，是“格萨尔故里”黄金旅游的必经之途和格萨尔王文化旅游区的中心部位。境内藏传佛教五大教派俱全，有开放寺庙35座，宗教文化源远流长。
