Film morphology and hydrophilic or hydrophobic behavior of polysiloxane (PE-PUVSi) bearing polyether(PE) and benzophenone derivative(UV) side groups were studied by atomic force microscope(AFM) and other instruments.

A new water-soluble polysiloxane(PE-PUVSi) finishing agent bearing pendant benzophenone derivative and polyether side groups was synthesized by hydrosilylation of polyhydromethylsiloxane(PHMS) with 4-(βallyloxy-γ-hydroxy)propyloxy-2-hydroxy benzophenone(MUV-O) and α-allyl derivative of polyether(F6).
