【承保份额】亦称“承保额”。表明保险承受能力的一个专用术语。保险人对每一危险单位所能承担的数额。在直接业务中，保险人对某一标的所能接受的比例为一个份额;而在分保业务中，原保险人(分出人)的自留额则称为一个份额。在伦敦保险市场上，各类保险业务都通过保险经纪久安排，保险人收到要保书后，如经审查同意承保，则将准备接受的金额或比例填在保险人事先准备好的承保条上，并予以签单。保险人接受的这个金额或比例，习惯上亦称为“承保额”。
