To provide theoretical foundation and reference for the calculation and checking of load capacity of ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) gear,the mechanical and geometrical model of UHMWPE gears were established using the method that combined viscoelastic mechanical model with hyperelastic mechanical model(Arruda-Boyce) based on the nonlinear viscoelasticity of UHMWPE.
