As to the increasing quality requirement of quality clothing on the combed cotton yarn such as neps,evenness,hairiness,details introduction is made to the main factors involved with hairiness such as raw material,humiture,condition of the blow-card unit and the process configuration,spinning and the winding equipment and the process configuration.

Combining product configuration and process design principles,this paper proposes the idea of process configuration,and analyzes and establishes a multi-tiered process knowledge model and its usage during process configuration.
