液体丢失。烧伤后局部或全身毛细血管通透性增加，大量血浆样液体从血管内很快渗入组织间隙造成局部水肿；渗至创面，如果表皮未破，形成水疱，如果表皮破裂则为渗出液。与此同时，受伤区钠泵功能障碍，钠离子进入细胞内，进入细胞内的钠离子又从细胞外液中吸取水分。所有这些变化，造成大量的体液丧失，循环血量下降，导致血流动力学的改变，进而发生休克。目前尚未有确切的制止体液丧失的药物和方法，所以对严重烧伤、体液丧失量大、可能发生休克者应尽早补液治疗。
