大体见肿瘤像普通肌瘤，切面色较红。镜下见血管性平滑肌瘤中血管很丰富，血管内皮细胞很明显，瘤细胞绕血管排列，与血管平滑肌紧密相连，可见血管壁的平滑肌细胞与肌瘤细胞之间有移行过渡。核分裂象极少。
