This paper summarizes the development conditions of thin strip casting and rolling technology at home and abroad,and explains the new metallurgy phenomena resulted from meta-rapid solidification and near net shape forming in thin strip casting and rolling process,such as negative surface segregation,total equiaxed crystal cast structure and eliminating edge crack of strip,etc.
