本文以山水画的历史发展为脉络,从笔墨当随时代的发展而发展,"以神写形"的绘画方法和提高自身素质,勇于创新三个方面,阐述了画家表现青海山水题材的创作情感、审美思想、笔墨技巧和表现手法;探讨传统与现代山水画的有机结合,主张多种技法互为并用、求变创新,努力展现青海山水的大美神韵。

五峰山位于青海省互助县五峰乡，距西宁市4o公里，海拔280o米，因五峰耸立形如举掌而得名。山上布满松树、杨树等乔木和大批灌木。春夏之间，满山青翠，秋深以后，色彩斑调，令人赏心悦目。山腰有洞穴三处，中有小道相通。洞下有澄花泉。泉水自山腰沿石壁跌落，形成瀑布，为五峰山一大景观。山上有五峰寺．是远近知名的寺院之一。每年农历六月初六日举行“花儿会”，漫山遍野，歌海人潮，极富民族特色的传统文化娱乐活动。
