    飞机从起飞开车至着陆后关车的整个飞行过程中发生的直接危及飞机和机上人员安全的事件。造成飞行事故的原因有自然的和人为的两种。自然原因指预见不到的天气突变或飞鸟撞击等。人为原因指操纵或指挥错误、维护保障不周或暴力劫持飞机等。国际民用航空组织将飞行事故划分为失事和事故两类。失事指造成人员伤亡、飞机破坏或失踪的事件;事故指尚未达到失事的严重程度,但直接威胁飞机安全操作和使用的事件。世界各国对飞行事故通常都划分等级,但具体规定各不相同。
