【功用主治】
治痈肿疮毒，牙痛，痢疾。 《民间常用草药汇编》："行血。"
【宜忌】
孕妇忌服。
【选方】
①治痈疽肿毒，头面疮疖，手脚生疮：紫薇根或花研末，醋调敷。亦可煎服。 ②治牙痛：紫薇根煮猪精肉食。 ③治白痢：紫薇根水煎服。(①方以下出《湖南药物志》) ④治赤白痢疾，急性传染性黄疸型肝炎：紫薇根、叶各五钱，煎服。(江西《中草药学》) ⑤解黄藤中毒：紫薇根水煎服。(《湖南药物志》)
