In this paper,the factors affecting handle of flax fabrics were analyzed,the characters and attentions of each kind of softening finishing process for flax fabrics were introduced,it provided basis for selecting the softening process of flax fabric.

It is analysed and pointed out that the anti-shrinking finishing by plasma did not have much affect on the hand feeling of the fabric.

Its application process in very simple and the printed fabric has good dry and wet rubbing fastness, fastness to brushing and nice hand feeling.

The methods for the synthesization of silicone feeling agent were reviewed,such as solvent silicone feeling agent,silicone emulsion,silicon wax emulsion,silicone and microemulsion.

Both the functional additive and beeswax were emulsified with mixed emulsifiers and blended with cationic hydroxylsilicone emulsion to produce the multifunctional feeling agent,which gives leather smoothy and oily feelings together with antiseptic.
