性状描述:淡黄色液体。熔点7℃,沸点219-220℃,108℃(2.67kPa),相对密度1.4269(16℃),折光率1.6066。能溶于4份90%醇,不溶于水,易聚合。闪点79℃。

生产方法:由肉桂酸溴化而得。在肉桂酸中加入溴素,生成二溴代肉桂酸,再加入碳酸钠并经水蒸气蒸馏,同时进行脱CO2与脱HBr而生成溴代苏合香烯。产率约80%。

用途:具强烈的素花馨。为卤代烃类香料的代表性产品,天然不存在,均由人工合成。该品的香调不属最上品,因此高级香精均未采用,但因其价格适中,故常用作皂用香精。
