性质: 又称蛋黄IgG或卵黄IgG。鉴于鸡卵黄中仅富有这一类从鸡血清中转移而来的免疫球蛋白。故称其为卵黄免疫球蛋白,简称IgY。分子量约1.8×105。具有良好的稳定性。酸性条件下(PH值4以上)时也很稳定。可从卵黄中提取。IgY是一种在功能上与鸟类、爬行类、两栖类和人血清中免疫球蛋白IgG相当的抗体,并且有很多学者提出了已知的IgG和IgE都起源于IgY的学说。兼有IgG和IgE的功能。在对全身性感染的防御方面同样起主要作用,也具有调节过敏性反应的能力。可做成口服型脂质体胶囊而应用于人和动物的被动免疫制剂;也可作为免疫检测试剂和化妆品添加剂。
