| 黄杨科 Buxaceae 双子叶植物纲蔷薇亚纲的一科。灌木至小乔木，稀草本。单叶，互生或对生，无托叶。花小、整齐，无花瓣，单性，雌雄同株或异株，花序总状或密集的穗状，有苞片，雄花萼片4，雌花萼片6，均二轮 ，雄蕊4，与萼片对生，分离，花药大，花丝多个扁阔；雌蕊常由3（稀2）心皮组成，子房上位，3（稀2）室，子房每室有2下垂的倒生胚珠。蒴果，室背裂开，或为肉质的核果状。有4属约100种，散布于热带和亚热带。中国有黄杨属、野扇花属和板凳果属3属，共27种，主要分布于东南部和西南部。黄杨为中国特产，充分生长时可成中型乔木，木质致密坚韧，为制作工艺品良材，旧时以此制梳，刻印亦佳。根入药，治风湿痺痛，叶捣烂敷热疖。又为园林绿化的重要树种。 |
