青霉素类是临床上广泛应用的抗生素，根据其特性，可将青霉素类分为七类：①青霉素G：通过发酵产生，主要作用于革兰阳性菌、革兰阴性球菌和嗜血杆菌属等；②苯氧青霉素：除苯氧甲青霉素由发酵产生外，其余皆为半合成青霉素，包括非奈西林和苯氧甲青霉素等；③耐酶青霉素：包括苯唑西林、氯唑西林、双氯西林、氟氯西林及甲氧西林等，主要用于产青霉素酶葡萄球菌感染；④氨苄西林类及其衍生物：为半合成广谱青霉素，包括氨苄西林、阿莫西林等；⑤对假单胞菌有抗菌活性的广谱青霉素：包括羧苄西林、替卡西林及哌拉西林等；⑥氨基酸型青霉素：抗菌谱广，有阿扑西林等；⑦主要作用于革兰阴性菌的青霉素：包括美西林、匹美西林及替美西林等。所有青霉素都可能引起过敏反应，所以用前均需作皮肤过敏试验。青霉素类属FDA妊娠B类药物。
