飞蛙-树上的跳跃者

  飞蛙生活在树林里,夜间以捕捉蚱蜢为食。它能跳跃到2米远的树枝上,如果下一棵树更吸引它的话,它也能跳得过去。飞蛙弹射到空中,张开网状的脚趾来滑翔。它还能收缩腹部,增添升力。这样,它一次能滑翔15米。

  这种生活在树上的飞蛙不是在水中,而是在树叶上产卵。它的卵连同一种被称为“蛋白”的物质一起产出后,成年蛙把它们敲打成一种泡沫团。不久,这种泡沫团就变得外壳坚硬,里面却仍能保持湿润。蛙卵及其以后变成的蝌蚪就安全地呆在里面,一直等到雨水到来,把它们冲进池塘。

  亚洲森林中的一只飞蛙。滑翔中,它的脚趾完全伸展开来。在某种程度上,它不能控制滑翔的距离和方向。

  一只马来西亚飞蛙。结束滑翔时,飞蛙的每只脚都像一顶小小的降落伞,使它能缓慢地降落下来。

  飞蛙会在一天中改变肤色。在阳光明亮的白天,它们是蓝绿色的;傍晚,它们会变成绿色;到了晚上,就变成黑色的了。
