泥灰岩 marl 介于粘土岩与碳酸盐岩之间的过渡类型沉积岩。由粘土和碳酸盐微粒组成。呈微粒状或泥状结构 ,一般粒径小于0.01毫米。与粘土岩的区别是滴稀盐酸后产生气泡,与石灰岩的区别是气泡处有暗色泥质物出现。常分布在石灰岩与粘土岩之间的过渡地带,呈薄层状或透镜状夹于石灰岩或粘土岩层之间。工业上可作为水泥原料和建筑石料。 |
