汾河

    中国黄河第二大支流。位于山西省中部。源出宁武县管涔山。流经太原市、临汾盆地,于禹门口下游的河津县西入黄河。干流长716千米,流域面积3.94万平方千米。较大支流有东碾河、岚河、潇河、磁窑河、文峪河、象峪河、乌马河、昌源河、洪安涧河、浍河等。自河源至太原兰村为上游,流经黄土高原丘陵沟壑区,水土流失严重;自兰村至介休县义棠桥为中游,流经太原盆地,纳入的支流较多,排泄不畅,易涝易碱;自义棠桥至河口为下游,穿灵(石)霍(县)山峡之间,河道比降大,水流急。流域内多年平均径流量26.5亿立方米。径流年内分配不均,主要集中在汛期。径流年际变化也很大,丰枯年径流量变幅在11.78~44.3亿立方米之间。中华人民共和国建立后,在干支流上建有大中水库10多座,对防洪抗旱,保证工农业生产用水发挥了很大作用。
