| 木兰科 Magnoliaceae 双子叶植物纲木兰亚纲的一个较原始的科。广义的木兰科包括有木兰亚科、八角亚科、五味子亚科、水青树亚科等，狭义的木兰科指木兰亚科和鹅掌楸亚科。乔木或灌木，常绿或落叶，植物体具油细胞。单叶互生、全缘，稀分裂，托叶盔帽状包围顶芽，小枝具环状托叶痕。花两性，稀单性，单独顶生或腋生，萼片与花瓣6～21，通常无明显区分 ，雄蕊及雌蕊均多数，各部离生；每心皮胚珠2～14颗，昆虫传粉。聚合果的成熟心皮为蓇葖。种子1～14枚。共 15属约260种，常间断分布或局限分布于一定地区，但主要分布于北半球的亚洲东南部、北美东南部及中美，少数种类分布于亚洲马来群岛及南美洲。中国产11属约140种，主要分布于云南 、广西、广东、海南等省区。在中国北纬34°以南至海南岛是森林中主要上层树种。木材为散孔材，纹理直，结构细，材质轻软，干燥少开裂，易施工。有些种类如合果含笑属，材质坚硬、刨面光滑、美观、抗虫耐腐强，为制造高级家具、重要建筑的上等木材。 |
