滴水滩瀑布在黄果树瀑布以西六公里,这里有二条对峙的险峻山岭—关索岭和大坡顶,是一个深达七百 余米的峡谷。

滴水滩瀑布由三个瀑布组成,最上面叫连天瀑布,中间为冲坑瀑布,下面为高潭瀑布,它是集高、大、美、秀著称的瀑布群。

高:瀑布总高316米,其中冲坑瀑布高160米。高潭瀑布高130米。无论总高度或个体高度都是黄果树瀑布群中最高的。

大:瀑布气势雄伟磅礴,最高一层波涌连天,中间数层翻空涌雪,最下一层震荡群山。

美:远远看去它那美丽多变的姿态宛如一位天仙般的白衣女郎,提着雪白的衣裙轻捷地从高岩上奔跑而来;一忽将裙子收拢束紧,妖媚窈窕;一忽儿又将裙子随意撒开,显得落落大方,潇洒自如。

奇:瀑布的形态多有奇特之处,最上一级瀑布顶仅是一个三点五米宽的峡谷岩道,而最下一级瀑布顶宽则有四十五米。由于它是深切于峡谷之中,多处为山崖遮掩,时隐时现,有的地方只闻其声,不见其形,实难窥其全貌,使人愈觉神秘奇妙。
