    分子式C19H28O2,分子量288.41。学名△5-雄烯-3(β)-醇-17-酮。有两种晶型。针状晶体,熔点140~141℃。小叶状晶体,熔点152~153℃。有右旋光性。可被毛地黄皂碱沉淀。溶于苯、乙醇、乙醚,微溶于氯仿、石油醚。是制造甾体激素的中间体。可从雄性动物尿中提取,也可由山药皂草甙或胆甾醇经降解后制得。
