中国河北满城 1、2号西汉墓出土的铁镞。共371件，分4型。其中Ⅲ型镞273件。镞尖呈四棱式，镞身为圆柱形，铤残断，保存最长者为 4厘米，断面皆为圆形。经金相鉴定的此型镞 6件皆为固体脱碳钢制成。含碳量高低不同，一般表面含碳比中心为低，共同的特点是保留了生铁夹杂物少的特点。它们是中国目前发现最早的铸铁脱碳钢件。使用铸铁脱碳钢制造大量消耗性的箭镞，说明当时这种制钢工艺已较为普遍(见图)。
