This paper establishes the optimal mathematical model of packed towe r's diameter, which takes the smallest Packed Tower's diameter as the aim of the optimization, uses the gas speed of empty tower as the design variances, and ge ts the optimum solution with the means of the Gold Section, and points out that the cost will be reduced along with the reduction of the tower diameter.
