一种高速精密镗床。因初期采用金刚石镗刀而得名﹐后已广泛使用硬质合金刀具。这种镗床的工作特点是进给量很小﹐切削速度很高(600～800米/分)。它在大批量生产的汽车﹑拖拉机等行业中应用很广﹐主要用于加工连杆轴瓦﹑活塞﹑油泵壳体等零件上的精密孔﹐在航空工业中也用于铝镁合金工件的加工。加工孔的圆度在3微米以内﹐表面粗糙度R
0.63～0.08微米。
金刚镗床的种类很多﹐按布局形式可分为单面﹑双面和多面的﹔按主轴的配置可分为卧式﹑立式和倾斜式﹔按主轴数量可分为单轴﹑双轴和多轴的。这种镗床常配以专用夹具和刀具﹐组成专用机床﹐进行镗孔(见镗削)﹑钻孔﹑扩孔﹑倒角﹑镗台阶孔﹑镗卡圈槽和铣端面等工作。卧式金刚镗床(见图 卧式双面金刚镗床
)一般主轴头固定﹐主轴高速旋转﹐工作台作进给移动﹔也有工作台固定﹑主轴头作进给移动的。后者适宜加工较重﹑较大的工件。立式金刚镗床按机床大小又可分固定式和可移式两种。可移式结构简单﹐使用轻便﹐称为镗缸机﹐主要用于汽缸体孔的修配。
