【来源】
为杜鹃花科植物云南白珠树的根。植物形态详"透骨香"条。
【采集】
9～10月采挖，鲜用或晒干。
【药材】
干燥根，弯曲有分枝，颇长，粗者直径可达2厘米。外表亦褐色，深色之栓皮极易剥落，内部色较淡；散生细根，粗约1毫米。质硬而脆，易折断；断面灰黄色，射线明显，本质致密。气芳香。 产四川、贵州等地。
【性味】
《分类草药性》："辛，温。"
【功用主治】
治胃寒痛，风湿筋骨疼痛，脚气，劳伤吐血，跌打损伤。 ①《分类草药性》："治胃寒气痛，风湿麻木，筋骨疼痛，吐血，跌打损伤。" ②《天宝本草》："医脚气。"
【用法与用量】
内服：煎汤，5～8钱；或浸酒。外用：煎水洗。
【选方】
①治风湿关节疼痛：透骨香根一两，小血藤五钱，白龙须一钱，牛膝五钱。泡酒二斤。每服约一两；并用透骨香茎叶、生姜、葱煎水外洗。(《贵阳民间药草》) ②治风湿性关节炎，跌打损伤，经闭：透骨香根三至四钱，煎服；亦可用二两加酒一斤，浸泡5～7日，每服10毫升，一日三次。(《云南中草药选》) ③治劳伤吐血：搜山虎、霸王七、竹节七。泡酒服。(《四川中药志》)
