化学式CdO。棕色或黄色粉末;熔点大于 1500°C,相对密度6.95。氧化镉具有碱性,不溶于水;与酸反应生成相应的盐。将金属镉在空气中或氧气中加热,可制得氧化镉,也可用灼烧硝酸镉或碳酸镉的方法来制备。氧化镉主要用于制备镉的电镀液。
