Six compounds were isolated from the dried fruiting bodies of Helvella elastica by chromatography methods,and their structures were identified with spectral methods as palmitic acid(1),ergosta-5,22-dien-3β-ol(2),5α,8α-epidioxyergosta-6,22-dien-3β-ol(3),uracil(4),L-pyroglutamic acid(5)and D-allitol(6),respectively.

| 麦角甾醇 ergosterol 一种重要的植物甾醇 (见甾族化合物)。分子式C28H44O。存在于酵母和麦角中 。白色片状或针状晶体 。熔点 168℃ (含1.5摩尔水的结晶） ，沸点250℃ (0.01毫米汞柱)，比旋光度  －135° (氯仿，C＝1.2)。溶于苯和氯仿。麦角甾醇经紫外线照射，发生一系列变化，生成维生素D2；麦角甾醇的衍生物22，23 -二氢麦角甾醇，经紫外线照射后转变为维生素D4。 |
