中空子弹,又名空尖弹, 弹尖中空弹, 英文名称 hollow point bullet,属扩张型弹头。中空子弹的中空部份在命中后会造成弹头的扩张,枪伤伤口较弹头面积通常大数倍,而且子弹多会卡住在体内,造成更大伤口及大量出血,使中枪者不能活动、还击或逃走。
