This paper evaluates the status of river water contamination in the recharge area of the Danjiangkou reservoir and along the trunk dyke, in Nanyang area of the middle section of China's south-north water-diversion project, analyzes influential factors of water environment, and presents measures to improve environment and prevent water contamination.

This paper chooses some representative factors which can show its special geographic environment and regional culture pattern in Nanyang region, uses some first-handed material, such as, biographical chronology、 anthology and local chronicle, etc, and studies the academy in Nangyang region totally and comprehensively, to show a true academy in this region.

Since the reform and opening, the economic relative diversities between the south and the north region in China radically tend to decline, and far less than that between the east and the west region, although the absolute diversities have a slight increase.
