玉米自交系(maize inbred line) 由单株玉米连续自交多代,经过选择而产生的基因型相对纯合的后代。同一株玉米经多代自交,从分离后代中可以选育出多个自交系,由于它们来自共同的亲本,所以互称为姊妹系。 自交系的特点 自交系与天然授粉品种或杂交种相比,生长势显著下降,植株变矮,果穗变小,产量降低,不能直接用于生产。由于基因型相对纯合化和选择的作用,同一自交系的株型、果穗等性状整齐一致。通过不同自交系间的杂交,杂交种就能表现出强大的杂种优势。 优良自交系的标准 一个优良自交系通常具有较高的配合力、较强的抗逆力(如抗病虫、抗干旱、耐盐碱等)和适应性以及较高的自身繁殖力。此外,还应具备理想的株型、坚秆、长穗、多粒行、大粒和优异的品质等优良农艺性状。 从天然授粉品种中选育的自交系称为一环系,从自交系间杂交种中选出的自交系称为二环系。自交系间杂交种集中了其亲本自交系的许多优良基因,因此从中选育的二环系往往比一环系有更多的优良性状、更强的长势和更高的配合力。 |
